Books

Hi all

Does anyone know of any good books that lap banded people have written about their experience. I have on order Khaliah Ali's book 'Fighting Weight.'

I have read heaps of other books on the procedure and nutrition information but I'd like some books on people who have had the op and their experience with it.

This is of little help to you now, but I want to write that book. It's on my plan for 2009 when I get done with my MBA and lose all this weight!

Sorry I can't help you out. :)

There is a book put out by called "Lap-Band Companion Handbook" written by Mark J Watson, MD and Daniel B Jones, MD. It has the explanation of lap-band and other medical stuff but, it has a section called "A Little Pep Talk and Tesstimonials" thats great. Patient's wrote in about their experiences. It also provides online resources, reflections from support groups, food journals etc. Great book. If you can't find a copy I know they are selling them from the Bariatric Center at Beth Israel Deconess Hospital because Dr. Jones runs that center. (My doctor)

Good luck!
