Hi all - can someone explain to me what flouro is? also, I was banded in Aug. of 2007 and just got my first fill yesterday, Feb. 2008. the Dr. only gave me 1cc and I was wondering if you can usually feel restriction with only 1cc - any help will be appreciated! Thanks.

Flouro is like an x-ray. You stand in front of the machine while you take a little drink of barium (no taste) and the tech can watch it go down ... if it goes straight into the pouch without stopping you're too loose. If it pauses before going in, you're just right. If it barely dribbles going in, you're too tight.

Sorry to sound like a broken record, but everyone is different! You may feel a great deal of restriction with 1cc.... or you may feel nothing at all. It is best to err on the side of caution as far as your eating goes....small portions, chew well, mushies for a couple of days, etc. The main thing to remember is if you feel any pain at all while you're eating....STOP!! Don't take another bite and do not drink anything until that feeling passes.
