Banded on 1/29/2008

Hello everyone, I was banded on the morning of January 29th. I am doing okay. Sore and stiff. My question to you is do you feel short of breath like it hurts to take a deep breath? I am doing great with the diet. I went into surgery at 253 and now this morning 251.4. I am not even hungry at all. But does anyone have any advise with the breathing thing?

KTBEEE,

Hi there. I was banded on 1/23/08 and I experienced the same thing. Just do your breathing exercises and they do get better.

I got tired very fast and felt like my heart was going to jump out of my chest.

Just don't panic......rest and take very deep breaths and let them out slowly. Do this several times a day and you will see they ease up.

Good Luck!

I would also speak to your doctor...have you been up walking around? I would be concerned with the shortness of breath because of the risk of a pulmonary embolism post-op.
