Thank you for sharing this aritcle. I needed it toay. I have type II and I have lost 31 lbs. but have slowed down lately my weight loss and I am still on insulin. I am going to a heart specialist today because I have a heart murmur so your article was encouraging.

Hi I am in the beginning phase. Have my educational meeting coming up. I am concerned about the liquids only phase and how you handle keeping your blood sugar level? I need assurance.

My first week banded, I had broth and drank water and orange juice. Any kind of juice will do. But, be sure to dilute it 50/50 or you will be spending a lot of time in the bathroom. The second and third week, I added protein drinks and liquid yougurt. (danactive).

Being diabetic, for my protein drink, I drank Glucerna once a day. I didn't have any problems with my sugar levels.
