The psycologist at my weight loss center said 64 ounces of liquid, including Soup, crystal light, Jello, etc. We have to avoid Caffeine for the first year and no soda. Obviously Water is the best for us but anything that is made up of mostly water is counted as a liquid.

I haven't met with the dietitian yet to get his/her take but I know that drinking artifically sweetened drinks make me hungry so I try to avoid them.

Everything that I have ever read states that any liquid that doesn't have caffiene in it can be counted into your daily requirements. Caffiene is a diuretic so those can't count.

See now I can have no more than 2 cups of coffee or tea a day. Not decaf, but honest to goodness caffeine. Every docs plans are so varied.

My nutritionist said 64oz. of water or diluted juice or Crystal Light. She basically said to just keep water at your side all day and constantly sip. I am trying....maybe I get in a little more than half of that. It's hard!

I am having the same problem. I can get in at least 32oz and maybe up to 48 with huge effort, but have not been able to get down 64 oz.

Good luck.

It took me just over 2 weeks to start approaching the 64oz of liquids, I am still not there yet. I suppose once the weather is warmer here in NYC, I will be drinking 64oz and more.:rolleyes2:
