Port Infection, HELP..

After reading on the forum, I am afraid I might have a port infection. The area around my port started to hurt yesterday and today there is a red circle around it, it is still tender and swollen and slightly warm.... Does that sound like an infection? I've had my band since 10/26 and have not had any issues till this, now I'm worried. Do all infected ports end up being removed/ replaced?

Good question Chubby Diva. As for all the info on the port being permanent, THANKS! I have learned something new today.
