Keeping food down

Hi There,

Im Teal'c and i had a Gastric Band fitted in Manchester in November 2007. I had my first fill one week ago January 2008.

So far i throw up everything solid, i can drink fine but eating is a whole other story. It hurts to eat even a yogart. Being honest i probably dont eat the right foods but i just want to be normal and eat a small portion of normal foods not liquids.

Does anyone else have the same problems? So far i have lost 1st 4lbs since the band was fitted.

Would love to chat to anyone!!

Sounds like you're too tight. Seek an unfill. Yogurt is a mushy and if you can't keep muchies down at all, why is there any doubt?

I was afraid someone would say that!! The thing is i have eaten two meals over the past week that did stay in so i was a little confused.

When did you have your band fitted?

Hi Teal, I've been banded for about 19 months now. I would go in for a slight unfill. Sometimes just taking out .2 or .3 out will help. Make sure you sip water before you leave the surgeoin's office. Start with liquids first then mushies then solids. Good luck.
