absolutely not the easy way out! i was banded on 1/15, and am right with you!

i bent over yesterday and i'm *still* sore! have my one week post-op tomorrow and am hoping for reassurance!

Glad to hear from everyone. I really didn't have trouble with gas pains but still (banded 1/3/08) quite sore inside around the port incision. I know that the surgeon said he had some trouble and had to cut some muscles so I guess it's from that. Sleeping at night is the worse discomfort. I guess lying down uses the cut muscles. I'll be glad when that goes away but I am able to walk and use the elliptical some.

I was banded 12/28/07 and I am still sore at the end of the day and when I bend certain ways. The Dr. said it's normal. Boy, I sure didn't realize how much I used those stomach muscles until I had the surgery! But, each day gets a bit better and then you get the start eating again and life gets more normal. I definately went through the "what in the world have I done to myself" phase. About the first 3 days. I was a self pay and that made if even worse, I was like, I paid how much for this? What was I thinking? I am three weeks post op now and doing much better. Hang in there, it gets better, soon!
