NSV's for the Merry Losers

Let's have our very own Non-scale Victories thread!

My first one: I can do up the seat belts on the bus into work in the morning!! I work on a mine site and we get bussed from camp to site, and HAVE to wear seat belts (safety regs). The driver comes by to check before taking off and up till now, I've had to hide the fact that I couldn't quite click the buckle in. It's always been so embarrassing having anyone see me struggle and then have to hide my failure from the bus driver. This week, it was tight, but it did up every time!! YAY!

I'm doing OK Cerrin . . . have an appointment for "possible" fill on Thursday . . . but knowing Dr. Stingy . . . we joke because he doesn't give fills often to anyone in our group . . . we shall see. I'm feeling slow and steady - not as dramatic as some . . . but it's still moving downward. Yea!

Well that is good at least your still moving down...mine has stalled. grrr

BUT my dr is super agressive with fills. He kinda leaves it up to us if we feel we need a fill. then when he does give it your filled just below too restricted. Which I love.

I feel that because he does his that way I will hit my sweet spot quicker then with any other dr. I hope that is the case.

So have you had any fills?

I've got 1.5 cc in my 10cc band . . . which I got about 6 weeks ago . . . I'm not honestly STARVING . . . but night time I'm much hungrier than I would like to be . . .

The nutritionist I go to told me to eat till I am full. and dont go hungry. Because that is when I get into trouble.

And I have the 10cc band and I have had 2 fills and have 8.5cc in mine. and I can still eat more then I should be able to. I cant wait to get closer to my sweet spot.

so... I put a new hole into my belt to make my pants tighter but.... it still loose so i made a second hole. So... it looks like even though i been hovering over the same weight for awhile, other parts of me have been getting smaller.... it looks like soon i gotta get some size 38 ;p

but i cant wait for 34-36 cause that was back in 94

My non scale victories:

-lost 21 inches top to bottom in measuring the main areas

-have hated exercise my whole life but am actually enjoying it now (not the sweating or effort- but I do like the way it makes me feel!)

-exercising 6 days per week & enjoying my day off from it

-making healthy food choices at meals

-getting back into my eddie bauer jeans

-I kept all my thinner clothes (I had lost 150 pounds about 8 years ago) & every month I go through the boxes of clothes & find cute clothes that fit in smaller sizes :smile2:

Banded 12/20/07

Highest: 313

Presurg: 303

Current: 254

(-59)

so.... today was a very nice NSV for me

After 3 weeks of going to gym everyday but weekends... I hit the 3 Mile mark at 42 1/2 min.... I'm one of those lazy bums that dont like to run or speed walk or even jog to place.... i'm more like... they can wait for me :cursing:

So... I'm hoping in a week or so..that I will hit 3k mark at 35min :blush::cursing:

wow

I am at 1.5 miles in 20 minutes. whew.

It is hard but I did it and I felt great about it.

Today just for the hell of it I tried to put on a size 16 pants and holy crap they fit, tight but they fit, started at size 24 now a tight 16 I love my band

i have had problem's fitting into the seats in movie theatres, hairdresser chair's, etc. Guess what. I fit. I'm so excited. My weight loss has stalled the last few weeks, but I think the inches are still flying off. I keep noticing my clothes getting looser and looser. it feels really good.

My next NSV goal is to not only fit into the hairdresser's chair, but to also be able to close those jacket cover up's they give you. It doesn't protect your clothes if it won't close.

I have a wedding and a ann. party the same day in a few wks so I had to buy a new dress outfit, I went into Bergners and had to ask the sales lady the difference b/w plus size and misses lmao guess what I am a misses now whoooo whoooo so much more to choose from I spent most of the day trying on different styles of clothes it was a awesome feeling. Can't wait to see everyone wedding is a friend and anniversary is family but I live 1.5 hrs a way so most of these ppl at both places haven't seen me lately since the surgery in Dec.

  • 3 weeks later...

ok... I went out and got some size 38 pants.... I used to be size 44 (tight sometimes). I got home and took them and looked at them.. "hmm they look kinda small... owell i can always save them till i fit" so... I said hell with it and tried them on and.......THEY FIT@@#$ and little loose (not having to hold stomach in to wear ;p)

so.. i have wore size 38 since forever...

omg i feel good...

i want 32@#$
