Not able to move

Does anyone have any experience with being so over weight and having bad knees that you are not able to move. I know once the weight starts coming off then I will be able to move but do you have any suggestions on things to do for exercise while I am starting out?

Two suggestions:

One, upper body movement. Sitting in a chair, you can take a couple of cans of Soup or Beans and do various curls or lifts from the front or sides, etc. I think if you googled exercises for senior citizens, you'd find some for people who are sitting.

Two, if you have a YMCA or fitness club with an indoor pool, then check out Water aerobics. The water helps support your weight but you still get a great workout.

Good luck!

There are chairbound exercises and those for the elderly that you can find online. I just searched chairbound and found thousands of hits.

Anything in a pool is also a great workout and easy on the knees.

There are surely to be some great DVDs available. If you have Netflix they will be delivered right to your door and there is no late fee.
