Okay.... I know it is crude, but I need HELP.

For whatever reason I cannot produce a BM.... so I have been on laxatives. Any advice? :heh:

Yes, I can offer advice as I don't go but once a week...maybe two.

So I suffer, too. But from all my years of dieting I remember this quite well. The band doesn't cause constipation...dieting does.

I've taken laxitives only to slime them up the next day...the pink came off the pills... so they didn't make it down.

Saline laxative at the drug store in a glass bottle. This stuff works miracles. Works in as little as 10 minutes and is the same stuff they use pre-op to cleanse the system. About a buck or two.

My clinic recomends colace and benefiber. I find if I have artificial sweetner I don't need anything else! Kellogs makes some delicious baked bran crackers if you are at a stage where you can eat.

I've been having a real problem the last month or two as well. I've been focusing on fiber!

Fiber-One makes a yummy granola bar with 140 calories and 9 grams of Fiber. You can also get the fiber powder - 1 tsp is 5 grams of fiber. I use Fiber-Sure.

I have a protein shake every morning and in it I put a coupld of tablespoons of Flax seed oil and a tablespoon of Psyllium Husk. It helps.

If you are taking in a lot of Calcium this can stop you up so try these suggestions:

-Magnesium supplement

-Flax seed

-hot Water with cinnamon and honey

-more fiber

I found a lifesaver: A bottle a day of Gerber Baby Prune Juice. Perfect small size, EXCELLENT taste and only 70 calories. Works wonders!

examine what you are eating and see where you can add some beans, broccoli, spinach, beets...things that clean you out naturally wouldn't hurt either.
