OK, Fellow New Years Knockouts

I am home. A bit exhausted but home.

I lost 24 pounds on the liquid pre surgical diet, so everyone, stick to it!!!!!

I had a small hietal hernia that they had to fix, but I came through the surgery in 35 minutes. Had a bad reaction to the anesthia (sp?) and was dry retching most of yesterday, but at about 2 am, suddenly felt better and walked around the ward. I am sore but moving around.

Heading to my parents so I may not be on later, but people, hang in there its worth it.

Glad to hear you're doing well Chrisann! Congrats on losing so much weight pre-op! Feel good and rest up! Can't wait to hear more from our first "bandee"!

Thank you so much for letting us know how you are doing. I look forward to hearing your progress in the next few weeks. Glad you are feeling better. Happy New Year.

Congrats on being first official New Year's Knockout to receive your band! Sorry you had a rough start after anesthesia, that's no fun! WOW, 24 pounds! Congrats on that too! You are already doing awesome!

YEah!! Congrats.

Glad to hear you are now going ok and home. Let the others around you pamper you and wait on you, and make the most of it while you can. Congratulations and Happy New Year!!

Yeah, I'm so excited for you!!! Let us know how your recovery is going, we're thinking of you and wishing you a speedy recovery!! 19 more days to go for me and I can't wait!! I have to be on Medifast for 5 weeks prior to my surgery. That means NO food at all!!! So thanks for the encouragement, it means a lot.

Hey everyone, was back in the hospital yesterday, I was having tremendous pressure in my chest whenever I got up and down, and couldn't swallow. Drank about 12oz all day when I got home.

Had an Esophogram and drank this horrendous chalky drink that I couldn't get down but had to, so as to make sure my band was ok since I was dry heaving several times after getting out of recovery.

Turns out that I have muscle damage from the dry heaving, coupled with the hernia repair, and am on more drugs. Still can't get down much fluids, but trying and Doctor Ren told me to stick to Clear liquids until I feel better.

Sorry to hear about that Chrisann. Hope you are now feeling a bit more comfortable. Take it easy.

Only a week to my surgery now!!

So sorry you are having difficulties right after surgery! I hope you are feeling better soon! Just take it easy these next few days. Thank you for updating us.

Sorry to hear about your difficulties Chrisann. Hope you are feeling better today! I dont know about the rest of the NYKO's but I'm getting a bit nervous now it's here!

Good luck Chrisann and let us know how you are doing!
