I need motivation!!

Some one please send me some motivation to get me jumpstarted again. I really want to lose 20 pounds and I can't seem to do it. I can't even lose 1 lb. I am at 1 cc right now due to having all of it taking out from being too tight. I go get a fill on the 21st. I am hoping that gets me going again. I can pretty much eat anything and alot lately!! I feel like I should be at 150 by now. I have been at this plateau since before August of last year. I had lost 65 lbs by my year anniversary and I have not lost since before then. Will I ever lose this weight or am I stuck???

I think you will loose the weight just fine after your fill. You have come along way so far... Do not give up!

I have just joined the group today, and I am not banded yet. I am scared because I want to go to Mexico, but am afraid I will not be able to find a doc in Florida to provide fills.

*Kelly, I almost called you today for us to do lunch!*

(((hugs)))

Wednesday I called Melissa - I needed a pep-talk.

I gain and lose the same 2 pounds, been doing this since first of January. I mean, 7 1/2 months and Ive only lost 40 pounds... and Ive worked HARD for those 40 pounds.

Cant get a fill, Im already restricted enough.

So I call Melissa.

Im complaining about not losing - she tells me that Im getting calories somewhere. She said that its against the laws of physics to eat less and NOT lose weight.... *this is true*

she also told me to start writing down everything I put into my mouth. Then I could actually see where the calories are coming from.

Ha! That 1/2 bag of Grab-it chips I ate, and the bag of peanut m&m's..... I forgot about those extra calories.

Her 'pep-talk' has already kicked me!

Maybe you can do this too... write down everything you eat. (Some people go to fitday.com for this)

No matter how you feel, you look amazing!!!!!!! Your before and after pics are AWESOME!!!! What a transformation!

Hang in there... the 21st will be here soon!!!

Kelly, your new avatar is so beautiful and so inspiring to me. Are you sure you can't be comfortable at this weight and consider yourself a success?

Nancy

Kelly... I agree... you look awesome! I imagine that getting a fill will help with your fight... but until then... you are adorable!

Look at your before and Now pics! Now that is motivating!

You look great..dont fret..it will come ( the weightloss) Sometimes our bodies just take a little rest..You are doing great! Hang in there ;)

Thanks everyone, but I don't feel Great.

Paula--u should have called me.

Nancy--No, I can't stop here...I would like to lose 20, but would be ecstatic if I could lose 30!!!!

Thanks Darcy!!! You are doing great yourself!!!

Michelle...this rest is too long.........kick my butt into overdrive..

Thanks everyone!!!

Kelly, you might want to have your body fat percentage measured. It might be that you are actually sitting pretty with a good body fat percentage! Please have this done as soon as you can.

Sometimes we get so focussed on the number the scale says that we lose track of other measures of fitness. You also need some new pictures taken. Look at your Avitar!!! Looke at your chin and neck! Wow!

Im not sure if my post was actually considered 'motivation', but after reading what everyone else wrote, I like this - what Nancy says. I agree with her!

Even if you never lose another ounce... you are darn pretty girl!!!!

Thank you very much!!! I went yesterday and bought a year of tans, so maybe when I start tanning I will feel skinner. For some reason when I have a tan I feel better...Dunno, but I am gonna start tanning Monday...maybe that will help!!!!

Thanks everyone----ya'll are wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whoda thought? All she needed was a tan, not the kick in the butt she asked for and was given!!! hehe Good job Kelly. You are looking great, and you'll get that last bit off, I know it.

Body Fat- you can measure it with a machine-Curves always had one when I went there and I'm sure other gyms probably have them, just ask! Also, a friend of mine got one on e-bay, or was it Amazon?, for 30-40 bucks. I always thought it would be handy to have one. I spent $40 on a pretty good scale, heck, I may just buy a Body Fat measuring machine! Anyone know the proper name for those thingys?

ohhh yeeaaah! Tanning ALWAYS makes me feel AND look better!

Dark fat is easier to look at then white fat! Seeing La Madam's tan got me thinking too...

Kathy, LOL - regarding all Kelly needs is a tan!

you are right... investing in a good scale is definately worth it! If you find out about the one to measure body fat, please let us know, ok?

I beleieve the "tantania" scales measure body fat percentage. Once again, I murdered the spelling... There is a link on the "scales" thread... from last week. Kathy's suggestion about going to a gym is right on the money. I don't know where you were banded, but my doc has a scale that measured my BMI, not went off a chart. But I'll have you know that when I have my socks on, I'm no longer MO.. heh, the scales use an electical current to measure the bodyfat. You might contact your local college's athletic depatment, they could probably help you too. Depending on where you are, they might be able to provide a resource so you can be measure under water.

Dear Kelly,

Hey..take a look at yourself. Look at how far you've come. Many people have trouble losing that "last 20". I wonder if you are being too hard on yourself? I am wondering what that last 20 lbs represents to you. Is it more than just weight?
