There could be many reasons. What was your starting weight & your current weight? When did the stall begin? Is it a stall or has your weight loss slowed right down? What is your current calorie intake? What activity do you do? Could there be a medication you are on that is hindering your weight loss? Have you met with your surgeon/surgical team to discuss your stall?

This could be your new set point - the weight your body is now happy at. The average weight loss after a sleeve or bypass is about 65% +/- of the weight you would need to lose to put your weight in a healthy range. Of course that means some will lose less than that percentage while some will exceed that average. Could that be applying to you at the moment? As we get close to this set point our rate of loss slows right down even to a point you’re losing ounces instead of pounds or weeks of losing nothing at all until you finally stabilise. The lower the weight you want to reach & stabilise at, the fewer calories you will need to consume.

Congratulations on not needing your diabetic medication. That’s a big win.
