Stalls

I had my sleeve surgery on Nov 27. Around 2.5 weeks in I stalled almost 3 weeks with 1 break where I lost 2 lbs then I gained 1.5 lbs then lost again then got stuck at same weight again so this has been going on constantly and the weight change since surgery is only 18.2lbs and now is Jan 14th So since Dec 21 I have been 258 then last weight was 256lbs. I am really at a loss as to why this stall is lasting so long. week 1 and 2 post op I lost 5.7lbs each week now I dont know how to get unstuck.

Stalls happen and believe it or not many factors come into play. Sometimes your food intake is not as it should! You may be thinking what EAT more! Sometimes we are not consuming the correct amount of proteins and fats. And eating to less. Early post opp I had to add full fats and eat a bit more. I also started exercising early after surgery which does not really help weight loss but it seems to get things going for me. Definitely meet with your surgical team and dietician and they can get you on the road to more weight loss. I had to make adjustments. Small things to watch for is sugary liquid, refined sugar, a lot of processed foods, slider foods, starchy and to many of those carby foods we love so much! as I'm not sure of how your daily eating looks! I would love to hear of your progress as the days and months to come!
