I gained and I am Glad!!!

I gained 5 pounds in 7 days. I am so happy for this experience. I just gave up over the holidays. Now I know if I don't play the leading role in partnership with my band it does not work. So the lesson learned is even if I have lost over 60+ pounds does not mean they won't come back!! So becareful and love yourself enough.

I don't think the food is the problem with me. It is my complete unhappiness with myself at times. That is what undoes all my hard work. Can we shut off that little voice telling us we are not worth it. I need a mute button!!!!:rolleyes

I can do it. I just need to remember that. So use my mistake as a learning tool. Because I have too.

May I ask how you did it? That is, how did you defeat the band? I certainly understand that this can happen and would like to be aware of what pitfalls to avoid.

Thanks!

You make some good points and this thread serves as a good reminder.

I'm glad you aren't being too hard on yourself; the holidays can be rough for most people. I ate entirely too much yesterday!!

Have you thought about seeing a therapist? I'm looking into working it into the budget for the new year. (my insurance doesn't cover it) I really think dealing with "head issues" is one of the keys to successfully keeping off the weight!!<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

I gained the weight by eating sugars. I don't eat much of anything that has a lot of carbs in it. But the last week I went crazy.

I have seen a counslor and he said I have a problem with anxiety. So I have to keep busy

Thanks for sharing and good luck!

I lost 3-4lbs this week.. and I did endulge in holiday treats a few times.. :guess

I stayed away from the eggnog and cappuccinos and hot chocolate.. decided I would splurge on things that would at least give me some sense of having eaten hah hah.

Well I have not weighed in about 5 days. I had told myself, out of previous frustration, that I just didn't care and was going to eat what i wanted for the Christmas holiday. I knew that was going to include alot of baked goods. I'm not too fond of turkey, ham and all the so-called traditional holiday food so I wasn't too concerned about that but the sweets is a totally different story. My fav stuffing is now off of my list because it won't stay down so that was something else that I did not have to be concerned with and surprisingly I did not miss it . I figured that somehow, I would still be ok even if I indulged in a bounty of sweets. Well, my lovely band (a.k.a. Brad -named after my boyfriend) decided to kick in over the weekend and I had extra restriction for the past 3-4 days. Needless to say, I had several episodes of PBing over the weekend with the last being last night while trying to eat some of my mom's rice pudding and coconut pie. So eventhough my mind told me to eat what I wanted this Christmas, good ole Brad put the brakes on it and showed me who really had the control.
