For a POP and abdomen hurts

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

I’m kind of freaking out right now. I am 10 days post gastric sleeve. I was so excited for finally being able to sleep on my side last night, but then in the morning when I tried to turn, I felt a POP on my right side and the pain hasn’t gone away. I needed to hold my abdomen to alleviate the pain and put on my abdominal binder. It does not hurt if I am sitting down, but there are certain movements that hurt like hell. Does anyone have any idea what could it be? My doctor’s office is close and I am not sure if I should go to the ER.

only 10 days your stomach is still healing. I wasnt even able to lay down to sleep for at least a month. and any kind of weird movements would be painful. But your stomach will not "pop" you probably pulled a muscle or something. i would call on Monday if you are still worried to your regular doctor.

I would go to the ER to just check to make sure everything is ok with your sleeve. Could it be a popped rib?

Hope you called your dr or went to er…. Do you have an update?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
