Im on day 5 and the heartburn is crippling me - does this last the whole 4 months?

Oh hell me too - it’s keeps making me really sick. Of course I’m losing weight but it’s grim ?. How are you doing?

I just wondered how you were both getting on now as I’m thinking of having a 6 month balloon put in .

Ive only got 3 weeks left but wish I could keep it forever. I’ve lost 3 stone in 13 weeks - the sickness was awful for the First month and the heartburn has been crippling. That said the more weight I lost the easier the heartburn became and now I’m worried that I will go back to my old ways - I really hope not.. good luck to you and let us know how you get on

Thanks so much for replying -that is brilliant 3 stone! So you had the allurion balloon ? I was thinking maybe 6 months just because it would give me longer to adapt.

Yes I had Allurion and aas far as I know it’s only 4 months which is a shame - I’d,love it for longer now. The first month is tough though but that is when the weight falls off. Good luck and keep me posted ?

can they replace it with another one straight away so you have longer ?

I’m not sure but I expect they can - I’d like mine for at least a year

Hi everyone, I had the balloon fitted 5 days ago. Like everyone else here, the experience so far has been pretty grim. My main issues have been dehydration and severe nausea. Dehydration simply because for the first 3 days I couldn't even keep water down. Omeprazol has definitely helped with the heartburn. I am now looking forward to the journey. Good luck everyone?
