Smoothie king

Hey! I'm 10 days post op.

I miss getting coffees and drinks out. I'm going to wait most until I feel 100% comfortable and healed but wanted to know anyone go to smoothie king after their weight loss surgery?

What's some things you like to order/find is okay for post op life?

  • I haven't been to a Smoothie King since I had surgery because I assume their smoothies are loaded with calories - but then I've never actually checked. But I would definitely check that before going,

Smoothie King has a lot of high protein options and keto shakes. I never cared for their sugary fruit smoothies. I use to get their Low carb high protein shakes. But I wonder how people tolerate them

The gladiator is probably the most solid post op option nutrition wise. It'd be considered a meal in my eyes. You can also put other things into it like cold brew and unsweetened cocoa powder. I might try it again when I'm allowed soft foods.

Even the ones in the Activator recovery range seem very good - and you don't need to wait till you're on soft foods depending on how thick a smoothie is.

I have never been there. I tried looking online at a menu and it doesn’t have the nutrition information. But it says they use individually quick frozen fruit and veggies that are In their own juices and they use chobani Greek yogurt. Seems like if you don’t get one with added sugars it would be okay and one with added protein I don’t see how you could go wrong. I am going to inspect the macros on the menu and watch closely as they make it for sure but I am going to check it out.

The nutrition information was on the written menu that’s located in the store.
