I need some advice...

I am having a tough time finding a fill doc in Central Fla. I live in Melbourne, Florida.

My question is - Fluro or no fluro??

Need to weigh pros and cons, I guess.

I'd appreciate your help. :eek:

My doctor doesn't fill under fluro unless you have a problem or something. He hits my port every time without a problem.

I kinda think it is a personal preference. My doc uses fluro but she has done blind (no fluro) unfills on my and hits my port everytime. I like that I can see my band and port when I get a fill so I get a visual update on how my insides are doing everytime I go for a fill. I think if you find a doc that doesn't use fluro make sure he/she knows what she is doing. There are so many horror stories on here about blind fills and the doc sticking them over and over trying to hit the port.

Just to add to that, some docs have to do multiple sticks even using fluro so it is no garuntee on 1stick and its done using fluro!

mbanja: I am now finding that it is a personal preference. Im with you on liking seeing my insides and how its doing. :eek: Its just a little frustrating that its not a standard procedure, you know?
