Severe difficulty burping

As the title says, I had my VSG surgery about 3 months ago. I’m barely eating anything because when I eat it’s so uncomfortable. I chew my food extremely well, I don’t drink liquids 30 minutes before or after eating… I follow all the rules. But every time I eat I feel like I have to burp and I never can. It’s very uncomfortable. I do not over eat at all. In fact I’m eating less than I should just because I dread the discomfort. I’ve tried taking gas-x and it just makes me want to burp more but I still can’t.

I get gas and burp like a mad man after every meal. I am about the same time after surgery. I would definitely get in contact with my surgeon if I could not release gas in my stomach.

I had that feeling too for a while, but 3 months seems like a long time. I'd follow up with your surgeon, just to be safe.
