What kind of directions did your doctor give to you? Each doctor has their own rules to follow. I would definately follow what my Doctor told me to do.

Kevin - If your doctor told you that you could eat till midnight, then you should be able to. I had to do liquids the day before with nothing after midnight. Some doctors let you eat anything you want to. I would just follow what my doctor told me to do.

Good Luck with your surgery and post and let us know how you did when you are able.

Kevin, best of luck to you on your banding! Just remember, what goes in must come out. You really will be able to eat after banding, really!

I would definitely go easy on alcohol the night before, just because anesthesia alone could make you sick at your stomach. A hangover on top of that??? Oy....

Also, You'll be having lots of gas anyway, post op. If you stuff yourself the night before, this could only add to that. Gas will be your biggest discomfort, most commonly.

Welcome and good luck with your surgery!
