Hello, are there any companies hiring that cover bariatric surgery under their health plan? Preferably work from home and customer service. I'm located in Texas near Dallas if its not work from home. I can't afford to go the self-pay route. Thank you in advanced. You can send your referral link, I know some companies give bonuses for referrals.

Citi, Amazon, and Amynta I know are all hiring and offer full benefits that cover bariatric surgery. You may also want to look into having surgery done in Mexico. Many folks, myself included, have found that going out of the country is actually cheaper, and can be done much faster, than using insurance and having it done in the US.

Thank you. I thought about Mexico but I wouldn't have anyone to go with me. I really don't wanna go alone.

I completely understand. I will be going alone and that is the only part of it that gives me anxiety. But the surgeon & team I chose are extremely highly rated and recommended. Many of their patients travel alone so they make a concerted effort to make you feel comfortable, welcome, and at home. I have spoken to dozens of patients of this surgeon who traveled alone and had a wonderful experience. Its definitely not for everyone. But, if it is in your budget and would put surgery in reach for you, don't rule it out simply for the fact that you'd have to go alone. ❤️

😫 Hi, I’m new to bariatricpal! I am 8 days post op VSG. I am struggling very badly. I’ve been so emotional because I feel like I’m doing wrong. I’m afraid I’ll eat or drink to fast or eat the wrong thing. I’ve been on Pinterest and YouTube constantly for help. I have followed all of my surgeons and dieticians instructions. I just don’t know if my body is getting enough. Today, I am weak, sore, and just exhausted.

It passes!! Everyone goes though it! It is a short term emotion! I'm almost five years post op! You made the right decision! Don't focus on the change right now. Try to entertain your mind. What your feeling only last about a week. It's related to your body adjusting and you mind adjusting. You got this!!

I agree with Tara it's hard right now but it gets better do t forget your hormones will be all over the place you may even feel depressed. Be kind to yourself reach out and talk to people how you are feeling .
