I had my surgery on 11/30, and it feels like I can feel the band around my stomach. Have any of you been able to feel the band? I am also having a lot of discomfort in that area and I get a sharp pain when I breath in. Is this normal?

Actually, you don't have the kind of nerves necessary to feel the band. You are probably feeling post op pain. If you aren't sure, call your doc.

I felt the same exact thing and really felt like I could feel the band. I chalked it up to gas.

I was banded 4 days earlier than you and today is the first day that I didn't feel it as much although still feel it just a little.

Thanks for the replies. I truly thought that it was twisted. But, I heard it was horrible pain. I have an appt on Friday, so I will address it with them then.
