Yes, it is very common to have a fill kick in days or even a week later.

Why is that ??? I have heard that so many times and am trying to decide if I buy that . . . I had a fill last Tuesday and don't feel any more restriction than I did before. I am tempted to call and schedule another very small fill, but am afraid if this one 'kicks in' then I'll be too tight . . . . .

I think everyone is different. Fills for me kick in within a day or two and are very noticable within a week. I had one fill that didn't make a difference and went in the next week for one. Now I can say I'm restricted again.

I asked my doctor about that today (went in for my second fill) and he told me that the fill took effect immediately and would not get any "tighter" but I have read that it can take up to 4 weeks to get the total effect. Now I am confused!!

Sorry, but your doctor was partially wrong. I have had 2 fills so far and they both got tighter around 2 weeks after being filled. People are all different but I have seen many post that the band got tighter days after the fill.
