I’m constantly burping. I’m 8 days post op and burp all the time. I’m still liquid only and I just take a tiny sip every minute adding up to 5oz per hour. I’m very careful not to swallow air but still so many burps! I woke up first thing this morning with so much air in my belly! I had to sit up and get it out! I don’t want to be a belching Betty the rest of my life!

2+ years - still burpin'

Still burp, especially if I accidentally overeat or eat something my stomach doesn't agree with. Heck, I even belch on purpose to relieve some gas build up I get.

It's also better to just let it out; holding it in can hurt (at least it does for me). That goes for the other end, too.
