Hey guys how's everyone from October surgery doing?

I'm going well actually 8 days post op besides major pain first few days I'm adjusting to my new life and new stomach which likes to rumble randomly lol

Still got my bandages over the incisions

I'm just on Protein Shakes and Water and sugar free cordial for now but will be nice to get something with texture soon.

Surgeon said minimum 2 weeks liquids then I'll be trying different things like hummus and yoghurt or puree veggies :)

I'm drinking plenty of water and shakes with ease just take my time.

one thing I have noticed Is water fills my bladder much quicker going to the toilet often.lol

I understand may still have gas and Fluid from surgery inside and it will take time to empty..

I'll be tracking my intake and my weight loss again now I'm home :D

I gained a lot of Water weight while in the hospital, my belly was as tight as a drum. I did notice the bladder thing also, but after I got rid of the water weight it stopped.

I had my surgery 10/24 and am doing pretty well! I had the same thing with the bladder, but it seems to have evened itself out now, so hopefully it will for you too!

I am on pureed foods already, but I've been having problems with my heart rate elevating, so I've been advised to stick mostly with fluids, which I have.

It's been a pretty easy journey so far, but I've slowed down in weight loss now. It was fun watching the first 11 pounds just slide off though!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
