I am in the process of trying to get approved by my insurance co. I have my second appt with my primary Dr today at 1:30. I have been researching this and trying to get my Dr.'s and everyone on board since last March. On January 1st my insurance changes to PPO so I will probably have to start all over. I hope not. I am going to try to get my Dr to put a referral through today and try to get a date for Dec. and avoid starting over. It probably wont be quick enough to work out. Does any one else feel frustated with the whole process? Well, wish me luck. I hope to get to know you all.

I too was feeling SO frustratred with the whole process!

But the ball just started rolling and you will be so glad...

Keep it up! :)

I just got home from doctors office. He is putting in my referral in, I made my appt. with my surgeon on 12th of December. Yeah!!!!!!!!! I am excited. I am soooo happy...Talk to you all soon.

Thanks, I am happy for you too. I hope I can try and get in prior to Jan. so I dont even have to deal with new insurance. I dont want to get too excited because even with the referral I need to be approved, right?? My dr says it shouldnt be a problem.. I hope he is right.

You will be all right... I just hate it when you are sweating out an approval from someone... I mean it is your my body - why do I need someones approval, GIVE ME THE DAMN WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY ALREADY! Sorry that was me going crazy - but I guess I needed just to get it out.... :)

It is amazing that a surgery that will make us healthier takes so long to get everyone on board. It woul have been easir to get approved for a whole body liposuction and a new pair of boobs. Not a bad idea. HA HA...

I got my referral letter yesterday, so its a go. I see my surgeon on 12/12. I am excited to get this show on the road. I havnt decided what to tell my kids. I dont know if I want to tell them the truth or make something up. They are 14, 10 and 7. I have only told my husband, mom and 2 friends. OK here I go.
