Soooo, 6 days post op and I've developed a skin rash, almost like hives surrounding the steristrips and on my sides. A little itchy but not terrible nor painful. JW if it was normal. [emoji28] [emoji28]

My daughter had that too! It’s an allergic reaction to the surgical tape. Cal your doctor to see if it’s alright for you to take them off & use a cortisone cream on them.

yep - allergic reaction to the tape. I didn't have that after my WLS or my first plastic surgery, but I did have it after my second plastic surgery (not sure if they used a different tape or if my body just decided suddenly that it didn't like the tape after all, but...I broke out!). They just took the tape off, and it cleared up within a couple of days.
