The Gym...

Hi guys, I'm 8 weeks post op and still havent started legitimately exercising... I was a few miles every other day but I know I need to start going to the gym. I'm so intimidated about starting...I dont know anything about the gym and dont know what to do when it comes to getting the best results. How did you start going? How often do you go? And what exercises/machines do you use for results? I have been so headstrong about everything...but feel so scared and intimated about the gym. Any advice and support would be great. Thanks!

I still have 1 week till I’m allowed to go to the gym, but I plan to start with aquagym. No sweaty feeling, plus it trains all your muscles. I will see how it goes and then try to move to harder proper gym sessions
So I’m at my one year and I did most of my exercise via walking. And honestly it wasn’t until the 6+ week that I even had the energy to deal with walking and didn’t get real distance/time until well past 12 weeks.

I have yet to go to a “gym.” I’m back at my yoga studio that I was at at 300lbs+. I now go several times a week with yoga and cardio classes.

You’re doing fine. Don’t beat yourself if not perfect.
