Yeah I had that. Pretty sure it's normal, but you might check with your Dr. I no longer get it and I'm 18 days out.

I'm 4 days post op and having severe chest pain and upper middle back pain with every drink of Fluid is this normal?

I had that too for the first few days. I had to rely on burping and warm broth for my fluids. Just take it slow and it will pass.
I indeed had that as well. Cold fluids produced it much more than warm ones. I would ask my wife to pat me on the back to help get those burps out. The gas was something else. It should pass in the coming days. Good luck on your journey.
