So, my surgery is scheduled for July 11th! Scared to death, but ready for the life change! I have been overweight almost my whole life and it has been a journey to get to where I am at now! It has taken almost 2 years to get here! Anyone else July bypass? If you are, how long of a liquid diet do you have to do pre-op? Mine is 2 weeks!!

If you have already had your surgery and gone through the liquid diet, any advise to get through it!

I am on day 8 of my 14 day liquid diet. My surgery is next Monday, Julu 2nd. I'm terrified and excited too. The diet has been hard. Not gonna lie, I had a few bits of turkey sausage on day 5. I'm only allowed Protein Drinks, SF Jello, SF popsicles, and broth. But I've lost 14lbs in one week. It's kinda crazy. Good luck on everything!!

That is all I am allowed too! I started mine a few days early to kind of see how things go and if I need to change when I do stuff. So, first day has been a little rough!!!

Good luck on your surgery!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
