I started on this journey in 2015. Got 5 days out from surgery and had to cancel because I got laid off and had to move. Started the process again and started surgery on 3/8. My blood pressure dropped significantly so they stopped. Went in again on 4/27 and the procedure was completed. One of the reasons I had trouble was, although I quit smoking 7 months ago, I had smoked for years. If you smoke please stop. The surgery itself is pretty simple, but not if you have underlying conditions.
Now that I am done I am so happy. I have had diabetes and was on 1000 mg Metform and 60 insulin. I am now on 15 insulin only.
