First Fill!

I received my first fill today. The nurse practitioner at my doctors office administered the fill. It was painless and I only felt a tiny little prick. The entire fill took seconds and he had no problem finding the port.

I'm pretty lucky since I know that my doctor's (Dr. Ren) nurse practitioner has more experience than most doctors. He even gave a seminar a month ago to many doctors on how to administer fills.

I can feel my port and so can the np, which makes it really easy for him to give me my fills.

I lost almost 20 pounds over the last 6 weeks and they gave me a 1 cc fill.

Cool, Alex! It's nice to know it can go smoothly, though you did have your fill from the best of the best.

What prompted the fill? 20 lbs in 6 weeks seems like a great loss. Does Dr. Ren schedule one automatically at 6 weeks, or did your weight loss stop progressing? And do you feel any different now?

I am glad to hear your fill went well. I have my 1st on Thursday this week. My surgeon does it 4 weeks post - regardless. I am already down 22lb in 4 weeks.

Hope mine goes so smoothly.

I'm getting ready for my first fill and am wondering what to expect after. At the present time, I feel I have no restriction and can eat anything and everything. Have lost 19 pounds in 4 weeks, but now am hungry most of the time. Not gaining but not losing either. Really using my will power to not gain. What should I expect after I get my fill?
