2 Week Pre Op Liquid Diet

I had no idea how difficult this pre op liquid diet would be. I've read countless articles and stories and thought to myself that since I had been diligently dieting all the way up to surgery (past 10 months) that I would be able to do this no sweat. I.Was.So.Wrong. I have not cheated and will not due to my fear of compromising surgery. I started on Wednesday 04/11/2018 and have to go all the way until my surgery on Wednesday 04/25/2018. I am so sick of sugar free popsicles, sf jello, and chicken broth. I limit my chicken broth to not go above my sodium intake each day however, with these 3 options I am to the point of just not really eating and mostly just drinking water. I can get maybe 1 Premier Protein shake in a day since I am so tired of shakes already. I feel foggy, sometimes lightheaded, and weak even though I am still religiously taking my vitamins all of them recommended by my doctor.

Does anybody else know of any other items I can add to my CLEAR 2 week liquid diet? I cannot have sugar and it has to be clear.

Thanks Guys!

I know right! I'm not knocking anyone's experience but I would give anything for the to just be able to chew some actual food. My doctor is way strict but I will have to follow their rules. At least I

Bone broth sounds really good, I will have to give it a try.

So an update: Day 9 of only clear liquids (protein shakes, water, powerade zero, sugar free popsicles and jello)

I am taking all of my vitamins and drinking at least 60g of protein daily while consuming at least 64 oz of fluids a day.

I'm not sure if it's because of "that particular week" sorry, TMI, but I am feeling weak and dizzy.

I'm not even hungry so much. Sometimes I feel I could eat an entire tub of cottage cheese, mushrooms, olives, etc. (Note: I HATE ALL THAT STUFF) but I'd be willing to eat it.

But it's not so much the hunger like I said. It mostly comes and goes and is mostly head hunger whenever I see something pop up on screen. Okay, some of it is actual hunger.

But I have no clue why I am so dizzy and weak. If I am taking all my vitamins, protein, and water, why am I still so weak?

I would imagine that high protein or not, consuming only liquids would have an impact on your energy level and how much stress your body can handle. I did used to get very weak during my shark week because I was anemic and that week just heightened that. Without intaking a lot of iron right now you're probably feeling that as well.

I think that could definitely be it. My iron runs really low so I might just take 1 more iron supplement while being careful not to overdose on it and damage my liver! I think that might definitely be the cause! Thank you!!!
