Time Off Work?

How much time do most people with desk jobs take off of work? I have paid leave, but need to get back soon. I don’t want to rush it, but also don’t want to waste time at home. I was wondering how much time most people are off before going back and what seems to be the most challenging when you return to work.TIA!

I had an RNY and I took off 6 weeks. I had some initial complications and was in the hospital for 5 days. I also got shingles while recovering which delayed the process. I could have gone back to work after 3 weeks, but I'm glad I took the whole 6 off. My energy levels were back to normal at the 6 week mark, and I was on a normal diet. My biggest point is you just don't know what could happen, complications arise. I'd plan on being off for 3 weeks minimum.
