Back pain 4 days post-op. HELP!!!![emoji30]

Recommended Posts

Hello and happy Friday!!!

My surgery was 3/19/18... went pretty smoothly but when I woke up from anesthesia my back was so seized up.... it was just so painful...while in the hospital nurses said it was gas and to walk. So I walked all damn day.... still nothing. Then they say it’s the bed, or you been in surgery too long.... none of the above. It is3/23/18 and no relief. Anybody ever go through this or have any advice

What part of your back? Sometimes upper back neck or shoulder pain can be deferred pain, especially if you had a hernia repair. Did you have back issues before?

It’s in the center going left and right. I did have a hernia repair and I only had lower back pain when I stood too long from getting an epidural from two children.

Definitely could be surgical pain since that is right in the area where everything was done. May be worth talking to the surgeon about just to be sure

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
