Menstrual After Surgery

So I was suppose to return to work 3/19 however my period started that day and I was feeling like crap so I took a extra day off thinking for sure I would feel alot better today but nope I woke up this morning feeling similar to how I felt when I woke up out of surgery...has anyone other women experienced worse cramps after surgery?than u did before?

I actually brought pads before my surgery because I knew it would come. I have very irregular periods but it can be brought on by stress. I've always got bad cramps. But the pain medication that they gave me helped a lot. Also a heating pad!
