Sorry if this is TMI

Anyone else on the pre-op diet running to piss almost every hour? This started happening to me today and I am half way through the pre-op diet. Is this just the body letting go of the excess water being held from diets high in sodium? LOL! It's almost to the point where I don't want to be more than a few minutes from the toilet.

Make sure you check your blood sugar. It's probably from all the water you pounded today.

It's about that time to check again. At 5:00 it was 168.

I am constantly having to pee and it has been that was since the surgery 17 months ago. You'd think I was an elderly guy at night. Lol.

I drink a lot more water and water-based drinks (like tea) post-op since I gave up carbonation (specifically my beloved diet coke). That is what it is about.

Very true. (Or at least that's what I tell myself during my third or fourth trip to the bathroom during the night. :D)
