Maybe you should see a different provider. I was never rushed. When I wasn't ready I gave myself a year break then went back at it again with a partner this time around. I didn't feel comfortable going through this process by myself. Maybe you should consider seeing another provider.

Probably to show you have a strong commitment to the program.? Don't necessarily agree with that, if you could do this all on your own you wouldn't be there. Ambien, hmm its potentially addictive or its one your stomach couldn't handle after stomach surgery? Otherwise doesn't make too much sense

Your insurance requirements sound the same as mine. 6 mo medically supervised weight loss - at least 5% . My consult with the surgeon was "lose the weight, doesnt matter how. See the psychologist, schedule the tests and we'll see you in June."
