How Much Is Too Much

I was banded on October 24. On the 2nd day post op my doc said that I could eat "Soup at Hand". It is a soup made by Cambells that you can sip. On the first day I could only drink about a third of it at a sitting. Now I can drink 3/4 to 1 whole container. 1 container is 10 ounces. Depending on which one you get, the calories range from 80 - 140. It is very thin. Definately could be sipped through a straw. Can liquids stretch your pounch in the beginning??? The only other things I am eating are sf jello, sf popsicles, and water. I just don't want to stretch my band out before I really get started!!! Advise please.

No liquids just slide straight through, that is why as you heal you will start to get hungry....very very hungry....LOL

The stuff you eat has to have density to 'sit' in the pouch, so dont worry about stretching and just keep an eye on the calories.

Good luck

That is what I thought, but I starteed second guessing. I just don't want to do something wrong. Thanks for the reassurance.
