I had surgery oct 9 07 and am just starting regular food. I have lost 18 pounds. The problem is my body seems to want to fight me all the way. I find myself very tired and weak at times. I hope this passes. My blood pressure is running low, around 92/63. I saw my primary and test came back ok. Will this pass? Am I just adjusting to a low calorie diet? Has anyone else felt this way? Thanks so much.

When I felt weak , I felt like it was my body telling I needed Protein. I would eat a piece of chicken or tuna salad for example.

Low blood pressure can make you feel that way. Were you a coffee drinker before surgery? Soda drinker? Anything with caffeine? Could this be the problem?

I was a coffee drinker but my doctor said one cup ok. I only drank around two cups. I did drink alot of diet caffiene free soda. No more of that. I just want to start feeling good again. I think I am over anxious. Thanks for the ear.

Are you drinking enough water. I know dehydration can make you weak even dizzy.

I too was banded on the 9th. I did not get my energy back until I started advancing in teh mushy stage. For the first week on liquids nad the first couple days adjusting to mushies I had no energy. Walking to get Water wore me out. After a week and a half on mushies I feel great, like I never had surgery. I notice that once I started getting my preotein in my energy came back. I actually have more energy now than before the surgery. Concentrate on getting some Protein in you and it may do the trick. Good luck.

Make sure you are taking your vitamins and getting your protein shakes in....that really helped me!
