Tired and dizzy...low iron?

Hi everyone. This past week I have really been struggling with dizziness and my energy level. I am falling asleep by 8:30 each night. I am keeping up with fluids, vitamins and protein requirements, so when I talked to my nurse practitioner, we both thought it might be an issue with iron. I am going in for lab tests later today to check it out. Has anyone else had this happen about a month out from surgery? My multivitamin has an iron supplement, so I am hoping to figure this out without another pill. I will also try to get in more iron rich foods that aren't meat based, since meat is still hard for me to digest.

I’ve been feeling the same way for the last few days. I had blood work Friday, not sure on the results yet. They thought maybe low B12, but we’ll see. I am fighting off a cold, so that might be it too. Let us know what the blood work shows.

That’s how I was with low iron. A simple infusion helped a ton. Glad you are getting it checked out just in case.
