Getting approval

HI ALL,

I have decided to get banded and I'm currently doing all of the pre-work to have my insurance cover the procedure. My insurance requires 6 months of documented weight loss attempt before they'll approve you, so I've got 4 more months of documentation to go. I also have to complete a sleep study, nutrtional consult., and blood work. I've already done the psych eval. So I guess I'm starting to get really excited as I embark on this journey and would love to hear from the rest of you as to your successes and set backs. I am definitely a food addict and I'm now working with a therapist on congnitive behavior therapy to address that. I'm scared of how much I'll miss food- I'm a total emotional eater.

I've been overweight my whole life, so I don't know what to expect as I drop pounds. As an adult, I've never gotten under 200Lbs and I'm way over that right now.

all comments welcome.:)
