Has anyone had the stomach flu? This is the first time I have truly thrown up. I had things go down and come right back up, but never the deep down heaving type of vomiting. I hate to vomit to begin with. Now it feels like a cat trying to get up a hairball! It feels like it is literally turning my stomach inside out. It has calmed, but I cant do anything but watered down sf propel. Is it always going to be like and feel like this? I was sleeved 10/17/17. No Vitamins, no meds, nothing.

So sorry you're feeling so rough. Couldn't hurt to put a call in to your surgeon's office and see if they have any advice about going through a nasty tummy bug three months out. They'll likely give you signs to watch for if it's serious enough for medical intervention.

Yeah, there are a lot of nasty gut bugs going around right now. They've closed schools around here cause it's so bad. My brother's whole house had it over Christmas.

This, too, shall pass. Sorry.

Thank you. I did put in a call to the office and if I cant keep Fluid down I need to go to the er. I have to be careful because this soon out it is easy to get an ulcer from vomiting, considering my reflux issues. They would give me iv zofran if I go to the er. Thank you! I hope it passes quickly!

Hope it gets better. Going around here too and I'm scared to death to catch it. Things should be healed, so hopefully you can't damage anything

Thank you all. Last night I had no choice but to call my surgeon. I told him there was no way I could sit in the ER for hours. I see him Wednesday, so he prescribed zofran. A little nauseas, but I am able to keep meds down. I just havent tried the Calcium. Probably tomorrow. My surgeon is awesome and I was so glad he was the dr on call! Thank you! Be careful guys, its nasty!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
