Hitting The Gym

How long post op should I wait to hit the gym? I'm not talking about heavy lifting, just basic stuff right now..

But the official word at my group is to walk the first six weeks. All the walking you want:) You can start an hour after surgery!

Best to ask your doc for your particular clearance. Happy Exercising!

I started walking on a treadmill almost immediately after getting home from the hospital. I haven’t been cleared to do much more and won’t be until the 6 week appt.

Agreed...check with your doc. I was on a lifting restriction for the first 4-6 weeks.
