Day 4 Fiber???

Hi. I’m on day 4 now. Still a ton of pain. I haven’t had a bowel movement in 5 days so I’m wondering if constipation could be causing some of it. My dietician said I could use fiber powder during my pre-op diet. I’m wondering if it’s ok to take post-op too. Anyone have experience with this?

Yes, my dietitian said to add 2-4 teaspoons of Benefiber to protein shakes or water or wet food if I went 48-50 hours without a bowel movement.

the first one can take several days. If it gets to be a week or more, though, I'd let your surgeon know...
