So I read that after surgery people take a few days before having any bowel movement, so I was wondering if it was better to clean your colon before surgery.

Sorry if it is TMI but I do think it is a good question. During my liquid diet I had here and there some constipation (I know with high Protein diet it is often a risk nothing to be worried about). I had some days that I did not poop at all. Some it was a couple of days accumulation. I know I was supposed to eat veggies but the Protein Shake fills me.

So anyways if it better to use some enema before the actual surgery?

I know I would feel better if my bowel were empty and I don't seem to find this specific info.

I plan on doing that but I'm going to clear it with my surgeon before I do.
