FIRST THANKSGIVING SINCE SURGERY....

I am 8mo. Post op down 90lbs and 10lbs under my goal weight. I ate a spoonful of greens and smoked turkey, sweet potatoes and a piece of a roasted red potato and I'm full of course. I just made a banana pudding trio and bow I'm making brownies... I said when I hit 1 year I would try something sweet, but I think I want to try it today....... Decisions Decisions.....

I pray everyone is having a wonderful and Blessed day

The reason I post this confession here is that thickgirl5683 is waiting a year to try a sweet and I couldn't make it 3 days without trying a taste of food. You are inspiring and reminding me what I should be doing.

I am a cook, and as I was doing food prep, I popped a Zucchini piece in my mouth and ate it a few days after surgery. I was freaking out for about a week. It happens just check your Temperature to make sure it does not go above 100 f. To make sure you did not cause a leak.

Hi all. I'm reading about all these struggles with sweets. Honestly there's a lot of stuff out there with sugar substitute that are actually pretty good. I made pumpkin pie without crust and used Splenda instead of sugar. It was so good and I couldn't tell the difference. There's so many things you can enjoy. If your craving ice cream there's a brand called enlightened. It's high protein and no sugar. It's ok to have a treat especially with the alternatives available. Just try to get the sugar free stuff.

Enlightened Bars are so good, those are my stand by when the urge strikes.
