Why are you stressing?

Did you ask your surgeon about his statistics? (Have any of your patients developed a leak, when, how many? Mine had none. He had to repair one from Mexico.) Are you following your Dr's plan? Are you having issues?

The doctor has not had any leaks. I am very healthy other than being overweight. I was not given a pre op diet plan. But am following one that I found on line. I guess I'm just stressing over the un known


Leaks are rare. I have met many people with the sleeve and they have never had a leak. As long as your surgeon has great stats, you will be fine.

My gastric sleeve is in 10 days. I started stressing over the possibility of a leak. Has anyone here had a leak?

The main thing YOU can do is to follow your postop diet to the letter (and if it seems like it progresses too fast for comfort, you can always go slower than the diet).
